- This is a scene I painted from a memory of the bay at Roskilde, Denmark. We visited the Viking Ship Museum there at the head of this bay from which the ships on display had been dredged. This is the first piece I painted in what came to be my signature style: big fluffy clouds, tiny outlined landscapes, and miniature farm buildings.
