- While driving back and forth to school while doing my student teaching I could see the roof of this barn set back far off the road amidst wooded hills. I had an urge to go in for a closer look, so one day I drove up the long drive, went up to the house and the nice lady that came to the door told me I could look around. So I walked behind the barn, came to the other end, and was delighted to see a couple of shaggy Scottish Highland cows. I took pictures and later came up with this long skinny watercolor.
